Yesterday evening we, the kids and Mom, went on a jog on the road from our house beside the woods. We saw three cool things. As we were going I, Simon, heard Mom point and say “deer” and we turned around. We saw a small baby deer without its mother leaping across the road. We were so surprised. Then we kept going on. Eva spotted 2 big slugs each 5 inches long. Then Eva walked up to something in the middle of the road that looked like a run-over frog. We turned and walked and said , “Mom.” We all ran up to it and it was a live snake that was 3 feet long. When it saw us it slithered lazily away from us and it didn't even seem scared. Mom said it seemed like a magical jog.
(We took these pictures the next day and we've included a picture of a huge beetle. They are really big here some are 3 inches long. We've seen tons of lizards too.)
