Last night for my birthday which is next week we went to a Real Madrid fĂștbol (soccer) game. Mom says that it is one of the most famous teams in the world. I was really excited to go.Mom and Eva were at home while me, Alex, Dad and Malcolm went to the game. (Malcolm is a BYU International Study Coordinator who is visiting right now. He's really nice.)
We sat at the next to the top row. We could see pretty good, but it was a long ways to the field. Whenever a Real Madrid player had the ball near the goal everyone on our side had to stand up to see if they made a goal or not. There was almost 80,000 people there! It felt a little crowded, but it was worth it.

At half-time, everyone in the whole stadium gets out a bocadillo (sandwich on a baguette) to eat. Lindsey, a student, warned us so we were prepared.
The game started at 10 at night! We stayed for an hour, but had to leave before the game ended to catch the train home. When we were walking out of the stadium the crowd cheered and we thought maybe they had scored a goal. We got home at almost 1 am in the morning!! When we got home we saw the video of the goals that we had missed and I was a little disappointed when I found out.
Here is a link to see the amazing goal that we missed. Click here. (there will be a short commercial and then click on the play button)

Nice Blog :)
Simon, they scored right after you left! I was looking down trying to see if you guys had gotten out the door yet . . . I'm glad you saw the replays on tv though!
