Zaragoza Highlights (by Michelle)

We went on our first overnight trip with the students: one night in Zaragoza and 2 nights in Barcelona.

Zaragoza
was stunning. Our hotel was right on the central plaza and Eva and I's balcony had a great view. I loved the Basilica inside as well; it is one of my favorite churches now. We went up the elevator in one of the towers to get a good view of the city. A sweet, elderly man was the elevator attendant. We had a quick discussion and he said that he has been manning the elevator for over 37 years. We figured that was worth a picture. 37 years!

I also loved the Aljaferia (the Moorish palace and stronghold in the northern Spain for many years.) Given my time in the Middle East, I love seeing so much Islamic architecture. It is beautiful There is always a magical lighting that I can't quite capture with my camera.
