Not too painful. For 27 hours of traveling.
Here we are somewhere over Greenland.
It did get a little dramatic after running from one end of the Denver airport to the extreme other end to make our connection and they closed the doors just as we got there and wouldn't open them back up. Such is the life of a traveler, but it was a "short" 3 hour wait for the next flight to Salt Lake. We were just glad to be in an airport
with food options. (Earlier we had been in the Frankfurt airport for over 5 hours and probably broke some record for purchasing the most bready pretzels ever; the options were boxes of chocolates or pretzels. We were already missing our Spanish bocadillos.) The shocker of the trip was when Alex, who I believe never slept on any form of transportation for 5 months (he prides himself on this), finally fell asleep right on the floor of the Denver airport.
